Line-up

The album's third, Turn Back, marked the return to the traditional sextet arrangement of previous albums. It was a more powerful, constant effort with a harder edge than Hydra. Its edgier sound was a reflection of the maturation of the group and featured drummer Bobby Kimball's increased virtuosity on drums, and an improved, mature vocal delivery from singer Joseph Williams.
