The name of the series suggests that the GE Profile series is aimed at consumers who want to incorporate cutting-edge technologies into their kitchen. This fridge has them all, from the Keurig K cup coffee maker in the door to a sophisticated dispenser of water. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. This refrigerator is costly and I was expecting better.

Aside from that blip, this fridge is a fantastic choice. It has a large freezer compartment that is not common for counter-depth French-door fridges. It also has a large capacity for frozen food items compared to other models.

The fridge is equipped with 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is about what you would expect from the size of a american french style fridge freezer door fridge that costs this much. It also has a decent sized ice maker in the left door, though it's not the largest I've seen.

You can adjust the shelving in each compartment to create a customized storage arrangement for what you want to store. The GE PYE22PYNFS's interior design is stylish, too. Its LED lighting is a nice feature, and the in-door storage bins feature a third shelf that folds down to allow you to store items that are tall. The drawers include temperature controls that let you set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, but I found their textured plastic coatings a bit hard on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with the complete set of features you'd expect from a fridge at this price, including Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your fridge from anywhere in world, and offers many options for customizing. It also sends you notifications when the door is left unlocked and when the fridge or freezer must be defrosted and when the filter has to be changed.

It is nice it GE PYE22PYNFS could offer Precise Fill, an option found in a few GE refrigerators that allow users to select the number of cups they would like to dispense. The fridge displays a countdown timer to display how much water remains, but it's not as useful as Precise Fill.

It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the refrigerator has an ordinary French-door design with gallon-sized door bins on each door as well as two rows of spill-capture shelves and a set sleeker drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded in order to create more space for tall items. There's also a full-width drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

One of the nice things about this refrigerator is that the ice maker is inside the freezer, making it simple to move the ice to the refrigerator for use when required. The freezer has thoughtful design elements, too, like sliding drawers that can help you to organize the place of your items. It also has a large container for storing frozen food, and a separate one for ice.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge proof" finish. It does an excellent job of preventing streaks and fingerprints from appearing even when compared to the shiny stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
