The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features of its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features that include a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is set up it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can choose a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and does not lose suction as fast as other models do and can clean up pet hair without difficulty. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot says it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price price.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your whole home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is better because its spinning pads clean your floors more efficiently than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only drawback is that it lacks an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay if want to get one of the best buy robot vacuum robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you've got the most dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones create minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch television without interruption. If it encounters the wall or a piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and then moves along.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background and also washes and dry mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something is in need of attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create or combine rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or in the event that you have to regularly get rid of clutter like toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to even clean up spills that are wet however I would recommend drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you could wish for. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best mop and vacuum robot combo known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in a single charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even when you're not at home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature which allows it to clean certain rooms or areas of your house instead of simply following a predetermined path.

The Omni Omni has the best vacuuming and mopping robot mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it enhances suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does a thorough job. It has a large rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots in this price. It is able to create detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are nice to have however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury and could mean it's a little more expensive than some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum and mop robot best, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open the settings menu of the app where you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4% of debris from our test on the hard floor and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops also do a great job in removing 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
