A three wheeler pushchair-wheel buggy is great for tackling off-road terrain and provides an easy ride for your baby. A 3-wheeled pram is a great option for those who run and like to walk fast uphill. This is especially true if you plan to attach an infant car seat or carrycot. The Roma Atlas is an excellent model. It features a flat-reclining seat with a 5-point harness, and plenty of storage space to keep all your gear (plus the ability to extend 50+ of the sun hood). It's lightweight, compact and suitable for infants and can be used with car seats or a carrycot. It can also handle a bit of light jogging but isn't intended for serious joggers.

Weight

If you're looking for a buggy that can handle the tough terrain, you need one with big wheels. They are designed to tackle dirt, cobbles, and grass tracks easily, while still providing a smooth ride. They're also ideal for jogging as they come with suspension and are simple to move up and down kerbs. The downside is that they're quite heavy to push.

It is also easy to move kerbs up and down and fits into a the boot of a car that is small. It can also be used as a stroller with a carrycot for newborns or toddlers.

Sling seats made of fabric fit snugly inside the frame of the buggie instead of sitting on top 3 wheel strollers of it as modular seats. This model has a lower centre-of-gravity, which is the perfect height. It is simpler to push and is lighter to kerb-pop (you cannot underestimate how many times you'll do this as a new parent!).

Seating

There are many options for seating in lightest 3 wheel stroller wheelers. For a newborn, there is the option to use the included carrycot and (which MFM reviewer Alice says is a cozy and comfortable lie-flat bed that can be used on and off the buggy), while older babies and toddlers can use the world-facing or parent facing seat that is spacious and padded and does have adjustable ventilation. It's worth noting that the seats aren't fully reclined however they can be adjusted to the lowest setting that will still allow your child plenty of headroom and space to move around.

A fabric sling is also available. It has the advantage that it is located inside the frame instead of on top as a seat that is modular. This results in a lower centre of gravity, with a perfect weight distribution. This makes it much easier and lighter to push, particularly over bumpy terrains or curbs. MFM reviewer Kath was impressed with the way that this style of seat negotiated these obstacles.

Alongside a huge shopping basket, this kind of buggy generally has very useful features like an extendable 50+ UV hood, an easy-to-use brake pedal and some bright, game-changing lights that pop up from the handlebars and can be placed in front of the passengers to increase their safety when they are tackling difficult terrain.

Storage

The 3-wheeled frame makes a buggy much more sturdy to push one-handed, and it's also great for handling difficult terrain. However, it means that the basket won't hold the same amount as a 4-wheeled buggy.

A high-quality ATP will feature pneumatic tyres with a padded grip for better comfort, and an excellent suspension. It will accommodate a car seat, so you can use it from birth.

MFM's reviewers discovered that the 3-wheeler frames couldn't fit through their home's doors or car boot. If you're worried about space, make sure to check out the dimensions when the buggy is folded before purchasing.

Find a 3-wheeler that has 2 (or 3!) seats. This is the best choice for your future and will save you money. The iCandy strawberry sport is one of the best of these; it can be used as a single unit from day dot and then converts to a twin buggies when your baby begins walking.

Tyres

These tyres cushion bumps and uneven surfaces to make your child's ride more enjoyable. She also noted that its grippy tyres made it easy to tackle kerbs and cobbles.

They can be difficult to maintain and will need to have their air pressure maintained regularly. These tyres are more prone to punctures, so it is recommended to always carry an repair kit and spare inner tube when you're out and out and about.

PU tyres are more commonly found on pushchairs as they are less expensive than tyres filled with air, but they are just as durable. You can recognise PU tires by their smooth appearance and soft texture. They also slide well on uneven and tied surfaces.

You can usually identify the distinction between air-filled and PU tires by running your hands over each one, if it feels hard then it's a rubber tyre, and if it slides then it's a PU. You can also verify that your buggy is fitted with PU tyres simply by sliding the tyres onto an even, clean surface They'll roll easily and fit comfortably in their wheel hubs.

Foam tyres can handle the rough terrain of high-performance buggies. The downside is that the foam could shrink and make your buggy feel less stable, because it loses its springy nature. The tyres can also be noisy due to the fact that they create lots of noise when you turn and drive around town.
