Three Wheeled Buggies

Three-wheeled buggies are great for walking around the neighborhood or jogging. Their compact design makes it easy to maneuver even in tight spaces.

For a smooth ride, go for a pram fitted with air-filled tyres. Also, look for models with 360deg front swivel wheels. They are prone, however to punctures. Make sure you have a repair set.

Frame made of sturdy material

Figures have just been released showing that the three-wheeled buggy which was a symbol of the decade of more money than sense - is in steep decline. Four-wheelers have replaced them, and are more versatile and easier to drive and look fashionable.

The general principle is that the larger the wheels, the easier it will be for your buggy to deal with bumpy and rough pavements. The larger wheels, both front and rear enable you to maneuver and more stable while walking downhill or in difficult terrain.

MFM reviewer Kath tried this buggy out with a newborn and cheap 3 wheel buggy year old and found it was able to withstand cobbles, grass rough pavements, dirt tracks and kerbs. She noted that it was solid to push and very solid on difficult terrain. Its tyres (which are inflatable and require occasionally pumping) have suspension built-in that was very comfortable for my kids.

Another thing to consider is the size of the seat and shape. You want the seat to be large enough to allow your child to feel comfortable and allow them to lie down. Certain three-wheel buggies have the option of reclining completely, while others allow a parent facing one.

A great option for those who want to tackle off-road and muddy walks is the Roma Atlas. This buggy is suitable for a single child as early as birth and can be adjusted to accommodate two children as your family grows. Larger wheels

Larger wheels give your buggy more stability when driving over rough terrain. This is especially beneficial for buggies designed for off-road use. They also allow you to navigate the pushchair 3 wheels through tight spaces. Some three-wheeled buggies feature swivel wheels at the front to assist you in navigating tight corners. Others are designed to run and have fixed wheels that lock for greater speed and stability. This also helps when you crash into a tree root or stray kerb as the front wheel will rise up a bit to prevent you from hitting it.

Luckily, most models have small folding options that allow you to take off the front wheels for more compact storage.

Easy to maneuver

One of the primary benefits to a three-wheeled buggy is that it's much more maneuverable especially with a child on the way. The way in which they are built ensures that the front wheels spin at a quick pace and are incredibly maneuverable, making them ideal for tricky terrain such as parks, cobbles or bumpy pavements, as well as dirt tracks.

The only drawback to this incredible mobility is that the 3 wheel buggy's larger wheels sometimes mean it has to be difficult to maneuver in tight spaces - something to keep in mind especially if you live in a metropolitan region. If this is a problem then a 4-wheel buggy may be better for you.
