Three Wheeled Buggies

Three-wheeled buggies are great for walking around the neighborhood or for jogging. Their compact design makes them easy to maneuver even in tight spots.

For a smooth ride, opt for a pram with air-filled tyres. Also, look for models with a 360deg front swivel wheel. They are susceptible, however, to punctures. Be prepared with an emergency repair kit.

Recent figures have been released revealing that the three-wheeled buggie which was a symbol of the decade of more money than sanity - is in steep decline. They are being replaced by four-wheelers that can be more versatile in terrain, while also looking stylish and easy to push.

MFM reviewer Kath tried this buggy out with a newborn and a 3 year old and found that it was able to handle cobbles, grass rough pavements, dirt tracks and kerbs. She noted that it was sturdy to push, and very stable on difficult terrain. The tyres, which are inflatable and need to be pumped regularly, have built-in suspension. This was extremely comfortable for my kids.

The shape and size of the seat is a further factor to consider. You'll want it to be big enough for your child's comfort. You will also need it to recline for them to lie flat. Certain three-wheel buggies have an option to lie flat completely while others will only allow a parent facing one.

A great option for those who want to tackle off-road or muddy walks is the Roma Atlas. Some three-wheeled buggies feature rotating wheels on the front, which aid in maneuvering around tight corners. Others are designed for running and have fixed wheels that lock for increased speed and stability. This is especially useful when you hit trees or a kerb. The front wheel will lift slightly to keep it from hitting it.

A majority of 3 wheel pushchairs come with air-filled tyres, which means they can handle different terrains and are more flexible than four wheelers. They are also lighter. They are more prone to punctures, so you'll require a repair kit and spare inner tubes on hand.

This can be a problem if you are using it as a jogger, or need to fit through narrow doorways while out and about. Most models come with compact folding options, which permit you to take off the front wheels and store them more compactly.

Easy to maneuver

A three-wheeler can be easier to maneuver with a child. They are designed so that the front wheels can rotate at a moment's notice, and are easy to maneuver, making them perfect for terrains that are difficult, such as parks, cobblestones as well as bumpy roads and dirt tracks.

The only drawback to this incredible maneuverability is that the larger wheels of the 3 wheel buggy can sometimes make it difficult to squeeze into tight spaces. This is something you should be aware of when you live in one of the cities. If this is a concern then a 4-wheeler might be a better option for you.
