What You Need to Know About Your Nissan Key Fob

Intelligent Key Fob

Make sure that the positive face of your new battery faces in the same direction as it did with the old one. Close the battery compartment, and then return the secret key back to its concealed position inside the case.

Remote Start

Nissan remote start is a feature that allows drivers to heat or cool their car from outside the vehicle, as long as they are within the operating range. The ignition of the car can be activated by pressing the button on the key fob or mobile application. The remote start system may also activate climate control, allowing the driver to choose their preferred temperature. Some systems feature two-way communications which allows the driver observe what's happening in their vehicle.

The battery's power is low, which is the most common reason for your remote start not working. Lockout Protection

Lockout protection eliminates lockouts that are caused by impedance problems. A specific module within the power control unit monitors the activity of the impedance relay, and then disables the output. This feature is only available on vehicles that have the Smart Key system or through the personalization menu for the vehicle.

All "affected", "authorized", and "qualified" personnel must be taught about the use of lockout and tagout devices. These devices include but are not only chains, locks, padlocks, wedges, adapter pins, and self-locking fasteners. Each device is identified and labeled with the date and the time it was put in use as well as the name and title of the person authorized and the reason for the lockout or tagout (repairs maintenance, repairs and maintenance, etc.). It is imperative to state clearly that these devices will not be removed until the LOTO procedure is completed.
